Twitch, while he is constantly looking around to see if anything is coming into the room, he still hangs on Diomedes' every word. Fact is, he doesn't seem any less worried than he was before he got more explanation.

"Right, Earth hates vampires. Running water will hurt em. Ok. I think I'll stick to the stake, I'm pretty handy with stuff like that. " with that he continues practicing with the stake to get a feel for the balance.

Diomedes growls in frustration at the sound of the beeps, his hand pulling back into a fist ready to smash the key pad. Smashing the pad won't open the door. Think! It looks like there are wires connected to it. We could just put the wrong code in enough times to see who comes and checks. He cracks his knuckles as he turns back to the others, "I have been thinking, new friend Twitch, what you fought was not a baboon, but more likely a Chupacabra, a goat sucker. It typically stalks goats, sheep and the like and drinks their blood. Though, I have never heard of one that would have stood still long enough to wear clothes."

He taps the mesh, pushing a finger through a hole, a grin spreads across his face and calls to Jeremy. "Ah friend Cerberus, I have seen you change into a dog, does it have to be a real dog? Or could you change into something this small?" He holds his fingers about an inch apart. "I remember when we were guarding Azaraxes, you changed into a different type of dog. If you could change into any animal, now that would be a useful power right about now. You could turn into a mouse or rat, and scurry through with no problem."

Contingency 1
If Jeremy is onboard with the idea, Diomedes says, "Excellent! Once inside, change back and then open the door. I suspect, it is not garlic back there, but rift root. Destroying the plants will make this place inaccessible to most people. Though, I suppose we ought to save a seed for
Diomede's name for Maia
"

Contingency 2
If Jeremy refuses to acknowledge his ability to change into any animal, Diomedes shrugs, "Oh well, then it looks like we have three choices, a) leave it alone, b) slice the fence open, or c) press the buttons a few more times. Though I suspect that someone will be alerted if we get it wrong too many times." He taps his chin, "Team Leader Edison, that might not be a bad idea, we could use this place as an ambush. I also think I know what plant is back there, I bet it's rift root. Destroying the plants will make this place inaccessible to most people. Though, I suppose we ought to save a seed for
Diomede's name for Maia
"

Contingency 2a and 2b
If Edison doesn't want to set up an ambush, Diomedes will summon his other mark of heritage (10 PPE | 120 min | 2d6+7 S.D.C) and a sword will appear in his hand. He sets the edge of the sword near the door frame on the same side as the key pad and uses the magical blade sharp enough to cut even those considered invulnerable to discretely slice a section of the mesh large enough for his arm to pass through and open the door from the inside

Jeremy was actually getting ready for the call to see if he could bend the gate enough to slip through when he hears the suggestion to use his more extravagant ability to be whatever animal he so chose. "That... is probably a better idea than I was thinking."

Actually, that was plan B if somehow I couldn't bend a bar enough to slip through.

"And as long as it's real and native to the earth we know, there's a good chance I can." He explains the extent of his metamorphosis, "But dogs have kept me out of so much trouble."

He takes a moment to think of a good one as he put a couple fingers or a hand through the grating of the door for context of the wiggle he has to squeeze through. Once he's decided on what he'll be, he considers that one among them have not seen and heard a shapeshifter take another form and gives a vague warning, "I hope yer not squeamish."

Depending on the size of the space he has to get through he either turns into a tiny mouse and crawls out of one of his own shoes and goes though or he seemingly melts through one pants legs and slithers through as a snake slender enough to pass through the space in the gate, hoping this doesn't set off some defense either way he chooses to get through to the other side of the door. Once through and inside, he opes the door for the others if possible from inside.

Edison looks at what he's managed to finagle in the short time he's been able to. Not really feasible right now, but I think I can use this in the future. Edison thinks as he stuffs the contraption into his satchel. Edison looks up from his thoughts to watch the others.
Diomedes wrote:"Excellent! Once inside, change back and then open the door. I suspect, it is not garlic back there, but rift root. Destroying the plants will make this place inaccessible to most people. Though, I suppose we ought to save a seed for

"
Edison shakes his head. "Let's not do that. For a variety of reasons..." Edison holds up one finger. "... One being if we end up taking longer than twelve hours, how would we get back..." Edison says before holding up two fingers. "...Two, that's not going to stop anything from happening..." Edison says before holding up three fingers. "...Three, we're not here to destroy the place." Edison says, his voice plain, almost like he's just reciting some kind of statistic, before putting his hand down.
Diomedes wrote:"Team Leader Edison, that might not be a bad idea, we could use this place as an ambush.
Edison again shakes his head. "We barely know how to get around here, I doubt this place would make a good ambush or redoubt, given there seems to be multiple ways into the area, and we don't know what we're actually facing. If there isn't any Garlic, just leave it alone. We'll move on and face what's happening with what we have." Edison says, his voice calm.

"While I am aware Vampires are dangerous, we have yet to even find one, for all we know, they aren't here regularly... I'm not saying we shouldn't be careful, just temper the collateral damage with some consideration. We're here to ultimately find out why the two block radius around Flavorville turns into ghettos, and why Agent Boyson has gone off the reservation. Everything else is technically outside out mission parameters and could be subject to disciplinary actions. Bravo has had too many mess ups in the recent past to easily talk our way out of it." Edison says, with a sigh. Multi-dimensional escapades are tiring, especially when one isn't aware of the rules. Edison thinks morosely.

With a wave of his hands. "Let's roll out. We're heading to the Chef's Tables." Edison says, his voice relaying it as an order. I swear if I see Sammy again, I may punch him. Edison thinks with a glower, as he heads for the exit.

The Fresh Produce Pantry
After inspecting the door to the gated part of the pantry, Diomedes suspects something far bigger and thus riskier. Erring on the side of caution, he decides to send Jeremy through the mesh. The mesh is made from a fairly rigid material; rather than trying to squeeze through it, Jeremy opts for a smaller form, a salamander. As a tiny amphibian, he is even smaller than the Omega suit will adjust to, so he slips out of the leg and then through the mesh wih ease.

While Jeremy is sneaking through, Diomedes suggests an even more ambitious plan to ambush someone working in the kitchen. Edison nixes this plan and instead says that once they have finished with what's behind the gate, they are going to investigate the private 'Chef's table' rooms. On the other side, Jeremy turns back to a human and goes to the door. A ventilation fan hangs over it, a token effort at cleanliness. He doesn't need to enter a security to open it from the inside.

When the door opens, Edison and Diomedes are greeted by their naked teammate. Twitch might have second thoughts about working with these guys, depending on his thoughts on public nudity. But he follows the other two inside. They pass Jeremy he goes back to get his Omega suit. Inside the three heroes are a little disappointed to see that this is the allium section of the panty. Bins of onions of every kind are near the gate. Much further back (about 50 yards) the heroes seee where the garlic and shallots are grown. Much like the garlic in Diomedes' tater tots, it is best described as neglected. The plants are small and almost gray, looking devoid of the big bold flavors that the name Flavorville promises. This is what the vampires are so intent on securing.

This is the corner of the pantry, and against one wall are a series of electric rice cookers making black garlic. Along the other is a table with a series of pizza ovens that are roasting whole cloves. If Diomedes hadn't seen the puny plants, or tasted the tots already, the site of fresh garlic slowly roasting over a low flame would set him drooling. Instead he tastes the fear and contempt that fuel his mortal foes.

Traveling around Flavorville
To move from one location in the restaurant to another, you must successfully roll land navigation (don't forget there's a -10% penalty for using rift root). If your PC does not have land navigation, then you may roll the skill at 20%. If you pass the skill roll, your PC arrives at the desired location. If they fail the roll, they will end up somewhere else.

Traveling with Sammy Hagar negates the need for a land navigation roll. If traveling in a group without Sammy Hagar, every PC must roll land navigation, but only one successful roll is necessary to reach the desired destination.

Then he sees stuff cooking and he stomach doesn't merely growl, it roars. He rapidly moves over to the ovens with the roasting cloves and scoops some out with his batons. Then, imprudently not letting them cool, starts to wolf them down. "Damn this is really crappy garlic. " but that does not hamper his appetite as he continues to stuff his face.

Diomedes claps (and not a limp golf clap) as Jeremy transforms into a salamander. He scoops up his teammate's clothes as Jeremy crawls out, and then hands them back to him when he transforms back into human shape. "Truly a marvelous ability. My people, in our war against vampires, have made ourselves impervious to the bite of a vampire, and in doing so, we've also made it so we can not be transformed by anything. It is good, friend Cerberus, that you are on my/our side. If we are winning, odds are the vampire will change to mist, it may be up to you to follow where the rest of us cannot."

The undead slayer, moves past Jeremy as he's trying to get dressed and looks into the room. These all look like normal vegetables, though its not like I've spent much time gardening or cooking. He sniffs, Maybe those in the back are garlic. The look of disappointment is obvious on the man's face as he pulls up a bulb of garlic. He tsks, and says "I suppose it would be to much to ask for that if they'd go to the trouble of growing garlic they would do a good job." Diomedes looks for at least one sack, if not four, and fills them with garlic. He will hand a bag to each of his teammates. If there is only one, he hands Jeremy and Edison a bulb of garlic each, takes one for himself, and gives the bag to Twitch. "Chewing it will not help, unless perhaps, you have some sort of super breath. I wouldn't be surprised if you did, no, oh well. Here then my friend, take these. If we get into a fight, crush some of the garlic in your hand and rub it against your neck. It probably won't stop a vampire from attacking you, but will make them think twice about biting."

"There does not seem to be anything else to discover here. Thank you team leader for indulging my curiosity." A wistful expression crosses Diomedes face, "I had really thought we might discover the rift root. It would have made a good peace offering to Thámnos. The version I knew was not nearly as angry. Perhaps Thámnos was secretly glad when the cataclysm occurred and the world reclaimed much of what had been covered over by man.

"I shall lead the way." When the team is ready, Diomedes heads out the door to find the Chef's Tables. A look of chagrin crosses Diomedes face when they arrive and open the door to the wrong room. "Sorry my friends, unless we want to check this room out, let us wander a bit more, I am sure I know where I went the wrong way."

Twitch, who is busy stuffing his face with lousy roast garlic responds after a hasty swallow "Oh, didn't even think about vampires, I was just really hungry. I should rub my neck. Check. " while he takes the bag from Diomedes.

Looking around out of the formerly locked area, after eating all the roast garlic, which fails to hit the spot he asks "Anyone know what a carrot plant looks like?" If someone points them out to him, he will dig up a bunch of carrots and start munching unless people move on too fast.

Edison watches the others move about, sighing with some relief behind his helmet, when Diomedes doesn't start destroying the plants, but begins to shake his head when Twitch begins eating garlic. Once the group is ready to move, Edison posts up behind Diomedes, who has become the groups impromptu point man. Edison has a thought occur to him. What's to stop us from leaving, gathering some supplies, and coming back other than time? Edison shakes his head at the thought, putting it away for later. Where the hell is Sammy also? Edison thinks as he speaks up. "Let's move, no heroics until we are sure there is something to be heroic about." Edison says.

The Fresh Produce Pantry
The discovery of mediocre garlic is a minor disappointment to Diomedes, but it is a relief to Twitch. He gobbles up the unctuous buttery bulbs straight out of the slow cooker, not even minding his slightly burned fingers. The upside of garlic being weak is that the taste doesn't overwhelm his mouth. Diomedes declines to eat some, but instead suggests that it might provide some nominal protection against the vampires.

With the dry pantry thoroughly explored the group heads towards the chef's tables. They take the first set of stairs down and turn right into a fairly wide fluorescent lit hallway. As the heroes turn the corner Diomedes and Twitch see a group of familiar faces: three chupacrabras in tuxedos. They look like they are taking a break, plastic trays with dirty dishes are pressed against the wall as the three creatures huddle together. Two of them appear to be smoking cigarettes, and when one raises its head to exhale it sees the Omegas. Its nostrils flair, smoke slowly trailing out of them, as the chupacabra lets out an aggressive high-pitched growl.

The other two chupacabras look down the hallway and see the Omegas as well. The reds of their eyes darken, blending into the narrow slit pupils. They let out their own growls. The two smokers put their cigarettes out on the wall while the third starts to thump its chest.

Chupacabras! Diomedes mentally exclaims as he turns the corner and sees the creatures in clothes. Dressed in formal wear just as friend Twitch has said. If they can do basic tasks perhaps they can be reasoned with. Perhaps Spanish? If that doesn't work I can activate my tattoo for languages. Diomedes raises his hand, palm open, in greeting and says "¡Hola, amigos! ¿Un descanso para fumar? Se lo merecen."
Hello Friends! Smoke break? You totally deserve it.

He's about to continue when he sees Edison's aura flash as the magic is activated. Diomedes, pauses and turns to look at Edison as he didn't expect any of his current team members to be magical (or use magic). When Edison speaks, he turns back to the Chupacabra and nods in agreement; not sure what to expect. He looks their auras overs to see if there is any sign of magical or psychic mind control indicating they might be a vampire's mind slave.

If the Chupcabras charge forward, Diomedes steps in front and attempts a body/flip throw on the lead creature flinging it into the wall. As he does he roars, "RAAAAH!" and beats his chest like the Chupcabras did and stares the remaining two down. If they continue forward, he backhands the chupcabra to the right, and then does a snap kick to the one on the left. He moves in on the second chupcabra and goes for a neck hold; and lifts the creature off the ground, he growls in it's ear, "¡Llama a tus amigos, ahora!"

"Huh?" His attention is quickly taken by the mention of more chupacabras and responds with sarcasm, "More? I was hoping for more."

"They weren't in the mood the first time, doubt they are now." He says, recalling his last interaction with one. He does maintain a little hope this little gathering is kinder than the lone one he and Twitch beat down at least.

Should the chupacabras not be swayed out of violence, Jeremy gives the simple call to cover their eyes loud enough for only Bravo to hopefully hear and proceeds to open his turn in combat with more than enough light to blind everyone that doesn't brace for it and either guides blinded team members to the outer perimeter of the conflict so they don't hit the wrong thing or punches an aggressive chupacabra.

Act II: Bottomless Nacho Bar
Flavorville Grill & Bar, Somewhere?
Date: Thursday, April 30th, 2043
Time: 8:02 pm
Weather: ???

Butcher's Bill
Cerberus 32 S.D.C. (Omega Suit)
Diomedes 13 S.D.C. (Omega Suit)
Edison 7 S.D.C. (Edison Armor Mk. II)
Twitch 9 S.D.C. (hood)

Three chupacabras in tuxedos were enjoying their cigarette break, as chupacabras do, when the Omegas arrive on the scene. I use the past tense here, because the moment they see the heroes the chupacabras put out their cigarettes and make aggressive gestures. If they were the baboons that Twitch initially thought they were, they'd be flashing their bright red hindquarters.

Hearing their visceral grunts, Edison suspects it's an actual language and activates his magical necklace. While he can understand what they are saying, it's not particularly sophisticated.

Chupacabra 1: "Interloper?"
Chupacabra 2: "Interloper?"
Chupacabra 3: "Interloper?"

Everyone else hears a rhythmic grunting that sounds almost inquisitive. However, Diomedes also senses that they are talking. So he speaks to them like he would the bus staff of any major restaurant franchise in the United States.
Diomedes wrote:"¡Hola, amigos! ¿Un descanso para fumar? Se lo merecen."
The chupacabras seem to understand what he says, and get angrier thinking about the how their break was interrupted. Like any rabid smoker, they hate having to stub a cigarette that's only half smoked.

Chupacabra 1: "Interloper."
Chupacabra 2: "Ruin smokes."
Chupacabra 3: "Interlopers ruin smokes."

Edison realizes that he needs to convey to them that they're supposed to be wandering around the restaurant's back. He flashes the badges and says in a universal language that they should surely understand.
Edison wrote:"Hey there, we're guests just passing through. Didn't mean to interrupt your smoke break."
And they do. But that doesn't seem to improve things as they start to approach menacingly towards the Omegas.

Chupacabra 1: "Guest?"
Chupacabra 2: "Food?"
Chupacabra 3: "Food for masters"
Chupacabra 1: "Hungry."
Chupacabra 2: "Food."
Chupacabra 3: "Food!."

With a guttarl shriek, the chupacabras charge the Omegas, and the fight is on. Diomedes grabs the first chupacabra to get to him and body slams him to the ground. A second rushes at Twitch, but before it can get close he swings his baton... hitting Edison in the ribs (-7 S.D.C.to Edison Suit). Thankfully Edison is there to punch the creature and deflect its claws. Meanwhile, Cerberus is off fighting the third on his own. His first punch lands squarely on the chupacabra's chest sending it reeling.

With his chupacabra more or less subdued, Diomedes then tries to reason with the creature.
Diomedes wrote:"¡Llama a tus amigos, ahora!"
The chupacabra replies by biting him in the arm (-6 S.D.C. to Omega Suit). Its sharp incisors don't pierce the Omega Suit, but they still cause a lot of pain. Hearing Diomedes howl in pain, Twitch swings around with his baton leading and knocks the chupacabra off his new teammate's arm. It lunges back at Diomedes; it misses, but so does Twitch when he tries to hit the creature. Instead he tags Diomedes in the back (-7 S.D.C. to Omega Suit). But with one final backhand to the face, Diomedes kills the chupacabra.

Edison hits his opponent two more times while also deflecting its attacks. While he doesn't need the help taking it down, he does appreciate it when Diomedes catches the creature by its neck and snaps it with a single motion. Cerberus gets the same support from Twitch. When the chupacabra scratches at Jeremy's arm (-6 S.D.C.), Twich times his strike to catch it square in the throat. It curls forward and after a few wretched and dry gasps it dies. With the chupacabras dead, Bravo is now alone in the halls of Flavorville. They don't hear signs of anyone else around, even the noise of the many kitchens are a rhythm of gentle clangs in the distance.

WHAT ARE YOUR INTENTIONS?

GM NOTES
Rift root
Duration: 12 hours
Effects: ability to see and pass through porous dimensional barriers; see people who are also under the influence of rift root; -10% to all skills; - 1 to all combat bonuses

Twitch, being rather mortified at his clumsy performance, tries to put on a brave face. "Yeah, those weren't much trouble, but this place is definitely hostile. We need to find the bosses. "

Please don't have anyone tell me I'm as bad as I am. I really don't need that when I'm on a vampire menu. he thinks to himself in a rather glum mood.

"Where do we go now?"

If someone does bring up his accidental tagging of his allies, he will apologize "Yeah, sorry about that, but I'm just not on my game here. This whole place doesn't work for me. I like to think I'm better than that. "

Diomedes gently lowers the dead Chupacabra down to the ground. It was too much to ask for that despite the evil of this place had somehow overcome their base natures and actually helping people. "Friend Twitch!" Diomedes calls out, "Am I so monstrous that you would mistake me as the enemy?" His tone is not serious at all, "Do not worry my friend, in the midst of battle, mistakes are often made. I do not doubt your courage."

Diomedes turns and pats down the Chupacabra at his feet, "It seems we can't count on the visitor's pass to protect us from the minions in this place. Twitch, Jeremy check the ones by you to see what you can find. Let's place them back over by the wall to make it look like they are a sleep."

Once the bodies are in place, Diomedes straightens up and wipes his hands. He looks down at the rips and tears in his shirt and pants, They have held up surprising long, usually, I am ripping them off by now so they don't interfere with my mobility. He looks up, "Let us make haste to the Chef's tables and get this over with."

As Diomedes pulls his leg, Twitch starts twitching even harder. Then he finally understands it's merely a joke and calms down a bit. Just a bit. Maybe they accept me, or at least the big guy does. I sure don't want him to take a dislike. He's huge.

"Yeah, thanks. I'm trying. " and then he does as instructed. First he pats down the indicated baboon thing, then drags it over to look like it's in a peaceful sleeping pose. Any broken limbs are straightened out and blood wiped off as best as possible.

He reaches down to help Twitch up turning him so that he clearly sees his face for the first time. Seeing the blank face, Diomedes lets out a sound somewhere between a sigh and a gasp, Ah, what happened? No, I see no wounds on his face. Diomedes had observed Twitches aura and saw what he'd found common among the Omegas, Twitch was human, but his aura's colors and shape twisted by the presence of super human abilities.

"No, no do not be ashamed. You, you are not a d-bee, but human , more to it with your obvious enhanced reaction speed superhuman. I have seen many scarred in battle in my time," Diomedes says. He lets go and unlocks his eyes from Twitches seeing his discomfort. Your face is more of a blank canvas. Perhaps someone skill in disguise could teach you how to apply paints and prosthetics to be able to blend in more effectively." He snaps his fingers, "I know some of our team have cybernetics, but I am unfamiliar with this world's success with them. In my travels, I have met a woman who had a 'cyber-disguise', a cybernetic implant implanted under the skin that was able to adjust and mold one's facial features. After we deal with this threat, we will take you back with us to our home." He looks to Edison to see if he agrees. "We can ask our technological wizards in the Procurement Department if they have anything like it. What do you say? Stick with us? Perhaps we can even find you something to eat to silence that growling stomach."

"Sure, I'm like a lost puppy, you feed me and I'll follow you home. " he says but oddly without a touch of sarcasm. "Anyway, the face doesn't bug me anymore, but yeah, it does attract attention. A rubber mask just looks stupid, and I know I've tried. I can't afford any of the fancy covers. "

They're going to give me a job offer after my performance here? Damn, the superhero supply must bee tight where they come from. he thinks to himself.

I guess we're fine enough taking those out...He thinks as he looks at the growing body count he thought they were trying to avoid. He hadn't heard some of the terms Diomedes before, but figures there's more than enough context to figure out what the new words mean and doesn't spend to much thought on them.

He listens to the banter and was ready to get a move on away from this spot as quickly as possible when he hears his real name that he's not using right now in case someone was listening they didn't want listening and looks around like there's an extra person in the group or area, more watching for eavesdropping vampires or their minions than ignoring Diomedes before outright asking in a reminder, "Who's Jeremy? Don't know a Jeremy Here, Edgar.

Regardless how this Jeremy figure is identified, he takes a moment to shift through the chupacabras' pockets or the closest thing to pockets they have for anything that may help them in their search for the missing agent.

Edison is generally not paying attention to the conversation as he runs the last few seconds over in his mind. Makes no sense, we have permissions and they still attacked. Is someone aware we're here... likely, but who? Who actually controls those things? Edison sighs and looks around. "We did it by the books, so we're good. Let's get moving." Edison says as he starts in a direction. I may punch Sammy in the face when this is all over.

Act II: Bottomless Nacho Bar
Flavorville Grill & Bar, Somewhere?
Date: Thursday, April 30th, 2043
Time: 8:05 pm
Weather: ???

Butcher's Bill
Cerberus 32 S.D.C. (Omega Suit)
Diomedes 13 S.D.C. (Omega Suit)
Edison 7 S.D.C. (Edison Armor Mk. II)
Twitch 9 S.D.C. (hood)

After killing the chupacabras, everyone takes a moment to reflect on the situation. Twitch feels bad about accidentally tagging his new compatriots, but everyone forgives him. A full brawl is always chaotic, moreso in the tight confines of a hallway. Likewise, Edison deems that despite insistence that they only investigate, and not crack skulls, this fight was unavoidable. Nonetheless, Diomedes wants to clean up the scene to draw less attention to the team's actions.

Twitch helps move the monsters' corpses against the wall. He pats one down and finds a silver plated cigarette lighter with a cap that's similar to a Zippo's. On one side of the lighter is engraved with the design of a Dia de los Muertos skull, and on the other are the letters 'M.F.H.D.' On the front of the lighter is a little dial with four notches, the lever pulled to the left-most notch. Deciding to make it look like the chupacabras are still smoking, he flips the lighter open and sees a small button. Pressing the button releases a normal sized flame that is perfect for lighting up. After lighting a cigarette for one of the dead chupacabras, he experiments with the lighter and moves the dial to the next notch over. Pressing the button releases a much larger flame, 4 inches high.

At this point Diomedes and Edison agree it is time to move towards the chef's table rooms. They follow the gentle hum of cooking through the hallways, however Diomedes seems to be pulled by something else. An almost preternatural scent tells him which way to turn so that he is getting closer. And then he leads them to his destination, a hallway. The walls are painted black with half panel wood. On the upper half are a few black and white photos of beach scenes: the Salton Sea, Lake Chad, the Aral Sea, and so forth. At the end of the hall is a blood red podium with a stylized 'F' (presumably for Flavorville), with a woman standing behind it.

Her icy pale skin and light red hair stand out against the house uniform of a black button down and long skirt. She may not be a vampire, but they are near. They are lurking behind one of the half dozen rooms that she is standing in front off. She smiles at the four heroes "How may I help you? Do you have a reservation? Or are you here to join one of our current parties?"

Traveling with Sammy Hagar negates the need for a land navigation roll. If traveling in a group without Sammy Hagar, every PC must roll land navigation, but only one successful roll is necessary to reach the desired destination.

Ooh, cool lighter. Wonder what the max setting will do? Yeah, in here it's probably a flamethrower and I'll burn my face off. and he resists his impulse to fiddle with the higher settings, though he does keep fidgeting with it. Once he thinks he's actually near his destination, he put his hands on his batons in the center pocket of his hoodie. I'm pretty sure it's gonna come to a head in here.

Seeing the hot goth looking lady he's not at all sure how to answer her question, so he just keeps looking around in what he thinks amounts to an inconspicuous fashion, but for him that involved avoiding eye contact and jerky head movements looking around all the time (so not at all inconspicuous).

Edison looks at the woman and inwardly sighs. "Yes Hi there. No we don't have a reservation per say, we are guests of Sammy..." Edison says before holding up the lanyard for her to see. "Before he ran off on an important Karaoke assignment, he told us we should check out the Chef's Tables. It took us a while to get here, it's a bit of a maze, as I'm sure you already are well aware of. We've heard that there are Investors here tonight, and thought maybe Sammy intended for us to meet them." Edison says with a smile, that is very much hidden behind the face plate of his armor.

Edison looks at the other three with him and mentally crosses his fingers. Here goes nothing I suppose.

"We are close," Diomedes says out in the hallway, he takes a deep breath through his nose, a calming technique and focus on what he is sensing. "This way," as Diomedes leads them to the black painted hallway. As he moves he stretches his arms, shoulders, and back, readying himself for a fight. The sight of the woman behind the podium makes him stop, the memory of the vampire he'd chased to this dimension.
Memory wrote: Pale with bright red lips and blue eyes, her hair was dark and down to her waist. She was tall almost 6', beautiful except for her right hand, it had been burned, but it looked old. Her voice was like the tinkling of bells, high pitched and melodic.

In the end, I found her. She stood before a shimmering portal nestle in a huge tree knot that looked like a ferocious beast. I thought I was hidden, but she called to me, "Come my sweet, do you dare follow me?" She spun the blade in her hand, "I know you want this, you just need to come and take it." She laugh, a girlish laugh that made me shiver.
No, it's not her, this woman is not a vampire. Diomedes moves down the corridor looking for the tell-tales signs that she is a mind slave, or at the very least bitten. He observes her aura for signs that she is more than just an unwitting human pawn. He says quietly, through the side of his mouth so only those next to him can hear, "She is not one of them, but they are somewhere behind her."

As they get to the table, Diomedes forces a smile on this face, as Edison begins to speak. Nodding and pointing at his own pass. "Has Sammy beaten us here? He is a tricky one for sure."

Contingency:

If she doesn't appear to have the presence of psionics, Diomedes will activate his eye with tear tattoo (Empathy and Empathic Transmission | RUE p178 |15 PPE | 60' | 16 min| Save vs Magic 16+) and transmits the emotion of
Will make its victims believe everything the psionic tells
them, but only while under the empathic influence . Life-threatening suggestions that go against deep-seated fears, morals or ideals provide an additional saving throw against the suggested action; with a bonus of +3 to save.
. The large man leans forward on to the podium with his elbows and props up his head with hands, a sly grin on his face as he activates his beautiful dancer tattoo (Hypnotic Suggestion | RUE p179 | 15 PPE | 16 min | 12' | Save vs Magic 16+). He says "You know what kind of real fun can be had here, don't you?" Diomedes remembers a phrase Gwenfrey had used recently when they were at Big Fricken' Sandwiches, "Spill some tea, gurl." Though he leaves out the extra expletives.

Jeremy follows the others and finds it relieving to end up in the right place for one tonight but the relief starts to fade as they get to the hallway. And here it is...yaaay.

He lets Edison do the talking for now when the pale woman asks why they are there, as he got to it first and he doesn't necessarily want to repeat himself anymore times times, no matter how vague might've been so far.

He takes Diomedes' word when he more or less hears she is not a vampire from him. Wanna say it's obvious, big guy.

For a moment, Jeremy keeps an eye out for the missing agent they weren't sent to find, hoping finding him will be that easy, but doesn't expect to at this point. Probably tied to a table getting sucked dry now. Might even be trap we fell in to after not falling into it.

"There is a chance Sam beat us here." He chimes in as Sammy bringing them to Flavorville is mentioned.

Before heading for the private dining rooms, Twitch fiddles around with his new lighter. He flips the switch between the third and fourth settings before deciding not to test it out again. He puts it in his pocket and follows the others.

When the Omegas reach the chef's tables, Diomedes can practically smell the nearby vampires: acrid and moldy with a faint sweetness, no wait, that's the brûléed Stilton cheesecake with fish sauce caramel. But Diomedes can feel it in his bones; the vampires are close. The only thing standing between him and his mortal foes is a waifish redhead with the cold but cheery smile of a seasoned restaurant worker. When she asks if the heroes have a reservation, Edison responds.
Edison wrote:"Yes. Hi there. No we don't have a reservation per say, we are guests of Sammy... Before he ran off on an important Karaoke assignment, he told us we should check out the Chef's Tables."
"Sammy Hagar?" the hostess asks. "Are you sure about that? No one told me that he had a reservation here tonight."
Diomedes wrote:"Sammy hasn't beaten us here? He is a tricky one for sure."*
"No, I haven't seen him or heard from him all night," the hostess says suspiciously. "But that's not uncommon, he's always running around the restaurants showing our guests a good time. If you head back to your original dining room, I will notify Mr. Hagar he can find your party there."
Edison wrote:"It took us a while to get here, it's a bit of a maze, as I'm sure you already are well aware of. We've heard that there are Investors here tonight, and thought maybe Sammy intended for us to meet them."
The hostess glances at Edison's badge a second time with an arched eyebrow. "On second thoughts, maybe I can get a private room for you," she starts. Her smile gets colder as she explains, "It will take a few minutes, I'm sorry, but if you go to the frozen margarita bar for complimentary drinks, I wil have one of my colleagues bring you back here for the ultimate feast."
"Please take this," she reaches behind her podium to pull out a small rectangular pager studded with red lights. But Diomedes senses some kind of trap. He's not sure what that is, but he wants to stay on the offensive. It is better to find the vampires rather than be led to them, so to speak. So he uses his tattooed charms on the young woman.
Diomedes wrote:"You know what kind of real fun can be had here, don't you? Spill some tea, gurl."
That icy demeanor thaws a little, and her face turns a shade closer to her hair. "Well, there is a small celebration being hosted one of our sous chefs and sommeliers. That might be the party your friend was talking about." She giggles and says, "they mentioned having entertainment later... but I guess you arrived... early."

Then she leans in to Diomedes and says, "If you want to surprise them, you should follow those servers there." She points to two men and two chupacabras (again dressed in tuxedos) pushing a tray full of raw meat. "They will take you to the room. Third door on the left."

WHAT ARE YOUR INTENTIONS?

Twitch watches the proceedings with the hostess closely. When she mentions free drinks he pipes up "Is an appetizer possible?" as his stomach rumbles again.

Looks like we're getting the brush off again. he thinks to himself, then Diomedes touches some tattoos, and things change. How the heck did he do that? I mean what the hell does tea have to do with it?

Then he looks over to the servers and the plate of raw meat Goddamn, I'll never get fed here. Then he notices the chupacabras. Food is the least of my concerns. We're going into a fight now. Oh hell, it's probably the vamps. And he switches his grip in his right hand from the baton, to the stake, both which are in his goodie pocket.

He will then follow his new allies who will be following the servers he assumes.

Sensing the woman's emotions shift under the impact of his magic, Diomedes nods as she tells him to follow the servers. He observes her emotions to see if she is an active, willing participant as he continues to supply her with hypnotic suggestions. Holding up the device, Diomedes says, "Sammy does seem to like surprises, following those guys is a good idea. I probably should leave this here because it would spoil our entrance, right?"

He points to the raw meat, "Looks like they are real party animals, if you know what I mean. Do you like partying with them?" If she seems disgusted he suggests, "To keep that figure I bet you are a salad kind of gal. I bet you are hungry too having stand here for long periods of time. How about you head down to the Fresh Produce Pantry and get a bite, I've got you covered. Once you get back, we will head down to the third door on the left." If she's aroused or excited at the prospect of the party, he says, "It must get pretty boring having to stand at this podium, I bet your sleepy. I am feeling a little sleepy myself." Diomedes yawns trying to get her to yawn as well. "Yep, your eyes look heavy, maybe you should go find a place to lie down for a few minutes, I've got you covered."

With the woman out of the way, Diomedes tells Cerberus, Edison, and Twitch, "There's probably more than just vampires down there if that meat is any indication. Remember your stakes, it has to hit the vampire in the heart to be effective. otherwise use it like a club and keep them from biting you. Cerberus, if we do stake them that's your cue to burn the creature to ash."

<rolls carried>

After hearing the plan explained Yeah, leave the vamps to the big guy and clean up the trash. Sounds about right for my level of performance today.

"Roger, keep the flunkies in hand. I can do that. Stake vamps if they decide to eat me. I'll try to stay out of your way. "

I hope he knows this stuff as well as he sounds like he knows this stuff. he thinks nervously to himself as he continues his perpetual lifestyle of looking around skittishly.

Perception: 1d100: [88] = 88 /30%
JIC: 1d20: [20] = 20 / 1d100: [89] = 89
Conditions: Healing Factor, impervious to fire, plasma, and heat in human or altered form. Under the influence of Rift Root.

That'd be fantastic if I wasn't worried about vampires around every turn in this place. He thinks as the hostess gives them a couple options.

"Huh?" He responds as Diomedes seemingly tries to flirt his way through and explains after. "I'll try not to be too close to flammables when I do."

"We're not waiting are we?" He asks, fairly certain of which way they're going. He knows there's no waiting time hadn't been since entering the apparent back of Flavorville. Whatever it was called, it was vampire den as far as he was concerned now.

He follows behind Diomedes when they start presumably following the chupacabras, already ready to take them out given their track record thus far and won't feel that bad about it.
