The Wayfarer's Keep - Player's Edition

Post by Locknar »

Ground Floor

1. Entry Hall: This grand chamber is dominated by two imposing stone statues, their eyes gleam with an unnatural light. Beyond the statues, a double-door portal leads to the Throne Room.

2. Throne Room: A special space adorned with rich tapestries and opulent furnishings. At the center of the room sits a massive throne. A large, pulsating crystal sits atop the throne, its glow casting an eerie light over the room.

3. Storage Room: A chamber filled with barrels of food and drink. The air is thick with the scent of aging wine and the musty smell of stored grain.

4. Kitchens: A cramped room for preparing meals.

5. Master's Library: Twin circular rooms on opposing ends of the Study. Each is lined with towering bookshelves, with each filled with various tomes and scrolls. The air is thick with the scent of old paper and leather.

6. Study: A spacious room with comfortable lounges arranged before a fireplace. A large, ornate desk sits in one corner, covered in papers and scrolls. The study has exits to both wings of the Master's Library and a private staircase leading to the second floor.

First Floor
1. Master's Bedroom: The Master's Bedroom is a luxurious haven indeed. A four-poster bed, draped in silk curtains, dominates the room, its ornate headboard shimmering in the soft light. The bed is piled high with plush cushions and soft blankets, inviting relaxation and indulgence.

A fireplace, is nearby to provide warmth and a sense of comfort. A plush armchair, and a lounge sit before the hearth, inviting guests to sit back and relax. A wooden cabinet, its surface adorned with intricate carvings, stands against one wall.

To the right of the fireplace, a portrait of a yellow-skinned humanoid adorns the wall. The figure is garbed in regal attire, with an expression both stern and commanding. Beneath the portrait is a closed wooden chest.

2. Magical Workshop: A cluttered laboratory filled with alchemical equipment, strange-looking devices, and shelves lined with jars of exotic ingredients.

3. Guest Bedrooms: Two guest rooms, one for two people and one for four, each furnished with simple but comfortable beds and basic amenities.

4. Dining Hall: A large, banquet hall with a long, wooden table and ornate chandeliers.

5. Balcony: A spacious outdoor area overlooking the surrounding countryside. The balcony has exits leading to both the dining hall and the Master's Bedroom.

6. Power Chamber: This chamber, deep within the Wayfarer's Keep, appears to be the heart of keep's power. Circular in shape, the room's floor is smooth stone. That floor is etched with a series of concentric circles, with a star design at the centre. There are other geometric shapes in the design which are different. Circles, a triangle, and various runes of power, all made from a glowing azure stone perfectly set into the floor.

7. Guest Room: This is a richly appointed room featuring a fireplace, lounge and spacious bed.

8. First floor landing area. Features a large statue of a splendid regal elf. There is also a weapons locker here and various hunting trophies lining the wall, stairwell and corridor beyond. Trophies include a black unicorn, a boar, and an impressive stag.
