"Blast it all!" Elvin exclaims, his voice laced with frustration. ".. which has just cut the power!"

There's a giant flaming thing in the engine room! Elvin shouts into the general comms, and his eyes widen wildly at their predicament. Kill it before it kills us!

He sighs, then mutters, "What's next? Floods? Locusts?"
"Don't panic, that's the captain's job..." Ace mutters as he retracts all his tendrils, pulls his particle beam pistol, and starts melding with it instead. "It's just making our saving the ship that much more heroic. You keep doing what you can to keep us steady. I'm going to try and get things fixed in the engine room -- the nanosecond I get power back up, you floor it and keep from hitting anything."

With that, he ducks out of the bridge and heads towards the engine room at full sprint. Well, Krys, you wanted to be a big damn hero... guess this is where you should be careful what you wish for.

"Don't worry, Uncle Daed..." he mutters as he sprints down the corridors. "I won't let you go out this way. Not while I still have spark in my systems."

When he arrives in the engine room (assuming it's still this round) he'll draw his pistol on the fire being. "Hey! Knock it off, hot stuff! I just spent the past two weeks making sure all this stuff works right!"

Noticing Ghast already in the room, he gives him a quick nod. "Talk to me, friend, what's going on here?"

He doesn't want to open fire just yet, as he sees that Ghast isn't actually attacking. If he recognizes the fire being as Draggor, he's even more hesitant. "Draggor? What in Silicone Hell do you think you're doing????"

If Draggor starts attacking him, however, he'll simply sigh and start firing. "Alright then, chum, don't say you didn't ask for it. Gonna hope you'll forgive me when you come to your senses..."

"Gah!" Andra exclaims as he is impaled by the stinger of a demon locust. No armor, surrounded by demons, how could this get any...

"Frak!"

The Captain focuses his assault on one of the beetles, hoping that whatever magical effects it has created amongst his crew will fade upon its demise. "I need this ship operational ASAP! Someone give me some good news!"

Don't panic. Righto then.

Elvin watches as Ace departs the relative safety of the bridge for the fiery situation in the engine room. He glances at the engine room camera. "Flaming death, but Ghast is there. No reason to panic, after all, he doesn't look too flammable right?" he mutters with a fair amount of apprehension in his voice. He switches to the cargo bay camera. "Oh great, there ARE locusts! Demon locusts. Alrighty then, let's not panic. What happens when you spot demons on camera?"

He leans forward, and presses a switch. "You just change the channel!"

Elvin takes a deep calming breath, and thinks. Think of butterflies. Butterflies fluttering over long winding stream in a green valley. A place of peace and serenity where the inhabitant's only complaint lies in their aching facial muscles from smiling so much. Ahhh....

With his mind momentarily becalmed the faerie announces over the comms what Ace is up to.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, an update if I may. Our esteemed Machine Man, Ace, is venturing into the engine room to perform a little… engine maintenance. I hope you are enjoying your in-flight entertainment, it certainly looks... ahem... exciting. Thank you for choosing Galactic Adventures, and remember your safety is always… a top priority.

Ace.. going to the engine room.. I wouldn't. No sir!

Then he speaks out loud, reasoning with himself. "No way in Hades would I be going in there. I'm literally 12 inches tall, what could I do against THAT!? Nope. Leave the big problems to the big folk, they like big trouble." He glances at the camera, watching the crew fight like maniacs. "They might not admit it, but I think they actually enjoy it!"

So he focuses on the ship's systems, trying to keep it steady and ready to blast out of this situation the moment the engines come back to life....
