Yates returns to his natural buoyant-bouncy state once they are back on the train and no longer under the umbrella requiring stealth. Within the climate controlled environment of the train, he works back fluid movement into the stiffened joints from extended exposure to the elements.
"What dull dreariness it would be to live here. So much bleak cold. Where did all the color go?!" Yates remarks to himself as they speed along.
Once back onboard the Rogue, Yates rapidly strips out of his armor to free his cramped feathers and practically flits about the cabin with his newfound freedom like a child just returned from a snow-sledding outing.
That wasn't a particularly productive scouting mission... But I will let Magnificence share the details of what happened. I have bigger issues to tend to... I've got some serious helmet-head!
Yates finds himself a mirror and begins working meticulously on preening himself.

Sounds too good to be true. Az Rael continues cautiously, "As easy as it sounds, we would then need to get back here. If we take the mag train, they can alert it and lock us in." He considers the dilemma, "Could we time having the rogue meet us? Lots of issues there."
Taking the mag lev leaves the complication of no one noticing what happened till after they get back to the rogue. Az Rael looks around at the group, "Any input here would be greatly appreciated."

Not sure purchasing a ticket to science lab is an option right now, although there could be some upcoming event we have not heard of or run into yet. If something like that does exist that does provide a "go" date.

"That is the most straightforward approach," Pertinax nods. "Ideally, we can complete this mission without ever being detected."
"That is why we avoid detection," Pertinax replies coldly. "Even if we could win a fight with the security forces, and we cannot, then we alert planetary security to our presence. This is a corporate planet under the protection of the UWW, our ship would not make it out of orbit."Interloper wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 8:21 pm"Well I'm confident the shipyard guard is better prepared than the lot of you give them credit for. "There are not any events happening in or around the factory," Pertinax says. "Attempting to use that as a cover will only draw attention to us." He looks over at Az. "Earlier you proposed that we move in during the evening; I agree with that plan. We know the general layout of the factory, we have their security codes, and we are capable of executing this operation if we act like fuxing professionals." He glares at the others, daring one to propose some convoluted trick that has a greater risk of failure. Or we can move in during the evening."Promethean wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 10:59 am"This one thinks it a good idea to take the Rogue into orbit while an away party boards the Ghost, to do any smash and grab, etc. type things. Glitch doesn't comment to Trorrie's remark about a lack in judgement, instead the intelligence simply records her omission and files it in his archive. The intelligence more concerned with the noted weaknesses of the current chassis he occupies. Observation: I require new chassis with a wider array of capabilities. This chassis shows a weakness in the extreme cold. I must seek ways to expand on my environmental resistances. Glitch observers during the mag-lev ride back. Once back on the Rogue, Glitch will recount the entirety of his observations for the others.
"Two were observed conducting external patrols before returning inside. There was short-band encrypted radio traffic. Later two more stepped out. Their rotation followed a standard timeline. There was one for the loading dock, and one for the front door. It is logical to assume that they have security stations on the inside of each entryway, though that is unconfirmed." Glitch expands. "They were shown to have extreme patience in dealing with the locals; Trorrie verbally engaged them and was met with bemused reactions." Glitch adds. "The ground around the pyramid was manipulated to be solid, likely through magical means as this is a UWW facility. The surrounding landscape was not firm enough to hold a ship and likely leave tracks if one is not careful." Glitch continues and though no one can see it, his iris zooms in on Trorrie. Log: Trorrie and Yates each have their theatrical uses, though Yates has proven more adept at when to employ them.
Glitch then observes the others as they discuss a myriad of plans that veer off the concept of a heist, prompting a similar level of annoyance in the intelligence as what Pertinax displays in his response. Glitch waits until Pertinax is finished before adding his logic. "If this is done to a standard I approve of; we will not engage in any direct combat and will be in and out of the facility before they know we are there. Normally, when I have to engage with security forces, it is because I made a mistake. If we can get in inbetween the external guard rotation and avoid detection, we should not be in the facility for more than thirty minutes. Any longer and we risk detection. It would be my recommendation that three of us enter, two remain outside, and one remains on the Rogue. If all goes according to plan, we will all ride the train back with the target and take off while they are none the wiser. Though, it depends on our access levels." Glitch states, then turning to Pertinax. "Were you successful in finding the engineer and acquiring access codes?" Glitch asks of the Tarlok. If given the yes, Glitch adds "We should move out as soon as possible and aim to be done well before morning." Glitch states.

Az Rael is pleased to see everyone engaged in the planning. "Seems like we are all mostly in agreement. WE can head out tonight. We have the codes to get in. The one thing I think we are missing; I don't want to engage security forces either... but there are guards at the door. Once we are through, they will look for ID. We should expect to have to subdue them at a minimum. Being prepared for that won't hurt us. We need a way that is quick and efficient. Other than that, I agree with Pertinax. We stay professional and execute. If anything goes sideways, we stay calm and eliminate the threat as quickly as possible."
Az takes some time to pull out the building schematics and go over the route he has previously calculated. "I'm guessing 10 minutes there, 10 inside, and 10 minutes back. We could do it faster with the elevator, but I don't like the idea of being in a possible cage once we get inside."
At that moment Az Rael remembers the talisman gifted by Scythe, "How many still have the Talisman of invisibility?" He considers, I could loan mine to someone and use the shadows myself. "These could keep us off the cameras for a while anyway." Az Reaches down to lift his up and show the others.
Az Rael nods to Glitch, "You, myself and Pertinax inside... that works. I can loan you my talisman of invisibility."[/b Az Rael turns to Pertinax, "Pertinax, this operation is directly in your wheelhouse. I think you should take operational lead once we engage. I don't have the experience maneuvering a team like you do." He nods to the Tarlok hoping he will agree. Turning to the others he wonders about the two new additions, untested, unknown combatants as our backup? It's what we have. "Trorrie and yates, you would stand by outside and keep us aware of what is going on outside the facility. Maybe help with extraction if things go sideways." Az turns to Bryke, "We need you to make sure the Rogue is ready to go at a moment's notice? Can you do that?
When they are ready to go...
Az Rael grabs his assault rifle and PPE battery from his room. He heads to the weapons locker, grabs a pair of neural dusters and 2 flash grenades, then follows the others to the Mag lev.

Re: [GR] Parts Run

His teammates plan seem to require his input so Yates helpfully hollers into the planning session. "Great plan darlings. Let's go straight away! I will defeat this helmet head with some more helmet head!" He checks the straightness of his clothing, making minor adjustments to his collar before adding, "But I am not standing out there in the BORING cold again! Pish posh. You will need me inside!"
Should they all end up in agreement. Yates will don the EBA once more. He will not grab any obvious weapons (like a long-arm), but instead rely on the built-in weaponry of the Naruni armor.
Finally! Yates thinks with excitement as his teammates work on a plan and he tries to smooth out a final stubborn crest-feather that refuses to return to its home position. The Timneh nudges the metal bowl he up-ended to use as a reflective surface. Trying to get a better angle on the errant bit of headdress. And I need to get myself a proper mirror moving forward. Maybe one of those baroque antique ones with beautiful designs on their periphery. Not too much gilding though... Just the right amount. Too much is tacky.
"Don't Prometheans have mysterious phase teleportation abilities? Such grand skills would be wasted babysitting the ship. Come along! Either with the team that goes inside or keeping Trorrie company keeping watch out in the cold! Then if there is trouble... blink-blink Promethean cavalry on its way! Wouldn't it be fabulous?!"Bryke wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 10:59 amThe Promethean listens to The Draconid and Az Rael comments then adds, "This one thinks it a good idea to take the Rogue into orbit while an away party boards the Ghost, to do any smash and grab, etc. type things. Also, the new girl has a good idea with the ticket thing, however we would need to forge some things for that, no? or are there events happening in the facility that we have not heard of?"
Should they all end up in agreement. Yates will don the EBA once more. He will not grab any obvious weapons (like a long-arm), but instead rely on the built-in weaponry of the Naruni armor.

Re: [GR] Parts Run
Parts Run
With the group all gathered in the conference area to discuss their findings and formally lay out a plan, it gets started with some ideas that are quickly turned aside, based on info the group paid quite a sum of money for. No events will be had at the government facility, and doing anything with either ship will just bring attention to the heist. Turns out the only real info the group got, that was new, was that the security is generally light. Likely no more than five marines guarding the pyramid at any time, and they seem to only be outside when the train arrives. This coupled with the general knowledge that the facility is lightly staffed late night, brings the best point of egress to be late at night. Given the group has all the necessary passwords for the doors, they can enter at the very least without triggering any alarms, and if one can stay hidden, maneuvering to the space held by Killinger Design should be straight forward.
The group moves to get prepared for the trip, figuring the latest train of the day would be ideal. The Rogues find the Mag-Lev to be very lightly populated, only a dozen or so travelers heading to places unknown. This allows the Rogues a modicum of privacy as they make their way to the Arcan Factory GL2.4. So fine tuning of the plan can be done as long as the group is quiet about it or uses private comms. The two hour trip is uneventful with most of the other passengers either sleeping or quietly doing their own thing. When the train stops, the Rogues are the only ones to step off.
I Need 1 Prowl roll from everyone please.

Az Rael sighs, well, nobody to blend in with... it seems we will just need to stay stealthy. The shadow assassin decides to step into the shadows as he exits the train and casts Shadow Meld on himself. He steps slowly from shadow-to-shadow trying to remain out of view as he finds a place to watch the guards as they come out of the building as expected.

Back on the mag-lev train, Yates has trouble sitting still. Clearly like a child who does not have enough to do, he can be seen assuming all sorts of different positions (even hanging upside down a few times) trying to get comfortable on the long, boring ride. "Are we there yet?" he asks nobody in particular a few times on the way there, risking irritating the very teammates he needs to rely on in the mission ahead. He is not actively trying to be annoying, but rather the Timneh is just SO BORED. Eventually, he passes out and falls asleep (possibly upside down) out of boredom.
I wonder what makes pink marshmellows pink? Could that exact pinkness be extracted to create a dye that carries with it the essence of pink marshmellows? What a fabulous muffler that color of pink would make with just a splash of cerulean blue... zzz.
Until he is awoken by his teammates, signifying that they have reached their destination, Yates dreams of pink marshmellows and fluffy winter-wear when worn can only be described as what might happen if the Stay-Puff Marshmellow man were accidentally mixed in with a red sweater in the laundry.
Once woken, Yates puts on his game face.
Finally, some action!
And proceeds to stealth with his team as best he can, perhaps not realizing how tremendously slow, boring and dull the action of stealth might seem to any outside observers.

Glitch looks at the magical talisman and his normally opaque visor suddenly projects a rather creepy digitized face of disgust before returning to it's normally opaque view. "I have never needed the handicap of magic. Though, I will hold onto it for emergencies." Glitch answers. Log: I would sooner crush this talisman before using it... though probability of needing it is slim, having it is as a backup is viable. For now. Glitch logs internally.Az Rael wrote:"This should help... Have you ever used one before?"
Glitch only nods once. "Logical. I will show you were I was. It seems unless they have cause too, they do not patrol the exterior at all." My problems for later.
Trorrie would see or hear Yate's antics and not truly help the situation while keeping her attention on her book, answering his question sometimes with a "we're almost there."

Once the Rogues have decided to commit their heist, Pertinax goes to grab his equipment. He puts on his loksuit and grabs his pistols and knives. He grasps his plasma cannon, but then has second thoughts. That would be overkill. Ideally you will not need to use any of your weapons. He then goes with the rest of the team to the mag-train.
On board, he leans back into his chair, closes his eyes and starts to meditate. He goes through the plan, imagining the way they will move through the facility (efficiently, quietly) as they search for the part they've been hired to steal. You will complete your mission. It gives the bitter tarlok a small peace of mind.
That peace leaves as he trudges off the train in his heavy loksuit. You are likely drawing attention to yourself. Nonetheless Pertinax follows Az and Glitch to the door, and when prompted he enters the codes to the door. "We move quickly and quietly," he growls at his teammates.

Parts Run
The group gets off the train at the designated stop, the Rogues seem to be the only folk getting off. The weather seems to be getting colder, as rhime begins forming almost instantly on the edges of the mercenary's armor. The pale weak light of the planet’s two moons puts a series of interesting highlights to the jagged ice surrounding the area.
At the pyramid, a dozen or so people leave the structure and make their way to the Mag-Lev, while exactly two guards wearing UWW Marine armor stand guard at the main entrance and the shipping dock entrance. As Glitch told the group earlier, approximately three minutes after the train departs, the guards retreat back inside the pyramid, leaving the Rogues alone in the dark frozen wastes. If the two marines noticed them on the platform even is up for debate, but seems unlikely.
Glitch shows Trorrie and Bryke where he had his previously, before the team going inside makes their way towards the Pyramid. Once everyone is in place, the heist really begins.

Glitch observes those leaving the the pyramid. Observation: Shift change or end of work for the day takes place between 12:00a-1:00a CST. Two security personnel as before, returned inside. No evidence our arrival was noticed as anything serious. Glitch notes as he shows Bryke and Trorrie whereabouts to wait and then moving closer to the pyramid with the others.
Glitch's iris zooms in on Az Rael for a brief moment. Observation: He appears nervous which leads me to doubt his ability. However he hasn't made a mistake yet. Glitch decides, watching how Az Rael conducts himself as well as the others. (cont): Perhaps this is one reason why the last threat was able to best us as a whole. Hopefully they understand the plan and do not require verbal communication. Glitch continues the sub-process of evaluating his teammates in action, the judgmental robot judging.Whispering Assassin wrote: "Quietly and quickly..."
Depending on who arrives at the door first, Glitch will go for the keypad and attempt to gain entry with the access code provided by the engineer. The first thing Glitch does when the door opens is scan for motion with his Motion Detector and his Micro-Radar.

Re: [GR] Parts Run
Parts Run
Once the outer door closes, the atmosphere cycles and the temperature spikes from inhospitable to life up to what organics would consider pleasant. It would appear that the Pyramid is an interesting fusion of magic and technology. The inner door cycles, and opens whisper quiet, beyond the door appears to be a generic locker room with cubicles to store environmental suits. The group notices a few of the slots still have suits in them, insinuating the structure is not empty, but nearly so. The room has a single exit, so the group makes for it, to look into a well appointed lobby area, maps don’t do the artistic design justice, with various stones and metals making an art deco themed area. The main lobby appears empty, but the group knows there are cameras, so the next steps are going to be fraught with possible discovery.
Outside, the wind is picking up and blowing razor sharp ice crystals through the runnels formed in the fractured icescape. The pale light of the twin moons gives the whole effect a glittering sheen. It would be beautiful if Trorrie and Bryke weren't standing out, exposed to it. While at the moment, the suits they wear seem unaffected, that could change if the wind gets stronger. Bryke and Trorrie talk, but it’s not really about anything. If anything is happening around them, neither notice, too engrossed in their conversation.
From the folks in the Pyramid; I Need 2 Prowl rolls. Bryke and Trorrie 1 Prowl roll each please..
What are your Intentions?
The team splits into two uneven groups, Pertinax, Az Rael, Yates, and Glitch making their way into the Pyramid structure, while Bryke and Trorrie wait outside hidden in the broken landscape a middling distance from the Mag-Lev platform. Ast the Quartet nears the main entrance, Glitch quickly provides the access codes as only a computer could. The outer airlock door opens with a mild hiss of released atmospherics. The group piles in quietly as can be expected, in truth this is likely the most dangerous part of the insertion.General Info wrote:Time/Date: 1:10 AM (Center Standard Time); 9/6/5023 (Center Reckoning)

Had she not anticipated communication from the Promethean, her automatic defences would have thrust him out of her head as quickly as the attempt was made. She looks in Bryke's general direction with his response. "Perfect. One less thing to worry about right now."
"And, some of us can, some can't. Not that huge a deal. I personally think it's better be a telepath than not." She continues telepathically with Bryke.
What storm is that? I hope it doesn't ruin such a nice night. She ponders to herself seeing the lights of the moonlight through the ice crystals and strengthening winds blow against her currently comfortable severe weather suit. Dull as she may find the task and as counterproductive it be for her purposes, the Draconid looks out on the land around her from her hiding place, watching and listening for a fault in the plan as it unfolds. This is what you get for mucking up your opportunity earlier like some lower humanoid.
Could I use that?" She finds herself thinking, considering the hoarfrost and other ice formations in the area. Probably? She strongly considers seeing if she can break off the smallest fragment to fling away from everyone. I very well could. But not right now.
She does as she said she would and watches for the first sign of trouble from her current hiding place, plotting her retaliation for it happening, though she currently doubts it will. As well, she watches for who could be the marine with the ring she's after, though she suspects, at best, the owner is inside and won't be coming outside any time soon; a consideration not to savory to the Draconid at the moment.

Even through the EBA, the sound of slight snickering can be heard from Yates. If there is enough time (squad doesn't move on to the next room very quickly), he will sneak over to one (or more if there is time) of the suits, unfold it, and using his plasma garrote, burn a small hole in the crotch before folding it back up and returning it to its home in the cubby. Wash and repeat as time allows. If time does not allow, Yates doesn't think too much of it and will abandon the idea, hijinks definitely does not trump his need for stealth on the mission.

Spotting the enviro-suits, a humorous thought occurs to him. Wouldn't it be funny if the next time one of the guards donned the suit, it leaked through a hole in the crotch?! And then they would have frozen balls if they didn't hurry right back inside!!!

Glitch also attempts to track any security systems that may be active within the facility to avoid them.
Seeing Glitch take point, Az Rael falls into line behind Yates. He looks back to Pertinax and whispers through coms, "You got our six?" He then turns back following Glitch assuming the bot had the planned route secured in ones and zeros somewhere processing.

"Fine," Pertinax whispers back hoarsely. The mighty tarlok would prefer to lead the way, he is not afraid of anything they might encounter. And there is nothing to fear yet, as his empathic powers don't detect any life signs yet. But that is not reason to lower your guard.

Glitch doesn't pause in his movements, relying on the downloaded map to guide them. Instead, he judges his organic associates rather harshly. Observation: In the middle of an operation, in a hostile environment, where stealth is paramount, they mutter pointless words and questions. Acknowledgement by action is more than sufficient in this instance, yet they must always hear their own voices. I must give them a proper stealth infiltration tactics lesson assuming no one hears this meaningless conversation and we are discovered. How do they expect to move quietly if they speak. The intelligence would scoff if he was organic. (cont); Asking me if I know where I am going as if we are not all working off the same map data; with me being the only infiltrator capable of storing the map for immediate reference within my data logs due to their inferior storage capabilities. Glitch continues the sub-process in his mind.

Re: [GR] Parts Run
Parts Run
Inside the pyramid, the group continues its stealthy approach from the main entrance, towards the offices of Killinger design. Glitch finds his motion tracker and radar are working to minimal success, they do not seem to penetrate any of the closed doors, but the halls are well covered. Pertinax is having generally the same problem, with his enhanced presence sense. In both cases, it’s likely a combination of the walls/doors thickness and composition.
The quartet slowly moves only having one minor kerfuffle that warranted the group making a detour to avoid a curious individual hearing Yates bump into a trash receptacle someone left in the hall to be emptied. Soon enough as the group makes it way through elegantly designed halls, it finds itself at the doorstep of Killinger Design, a large sign noting it even. A quick tapping of the door code, opens the location and allows the crew inside. The lighting is the same as the rest of the pyramid, but it seems the area is devoid of people, so the group has free reign to find the Modified Magnetic Bottle Compensator, without prying eyes. The store room is relatively neat, and it only takes a minute or two to find the sized device. Now with the prize in sight, the group only needs to grab it and make their way back to the mag-lev platform.
From the folks in the Pyramid; I Need 2 Prowl rolls. Bryke and Trorrie 1 Prowl roll each please..
What are your Intentions?
Outside the pyramid, the weather almost instantly gets worse as the wind picks up and turns the scene to whiteout conditions of flying razor sharp ice crystals. All manner of sight is obscured to about two to three feet in front of oneself, and hearing anything is basically impossible with the roar of the wind. For Bryke it’s mildly unpleasant, for Trorrie, she can see warnings blinking on the small HUD in her environmental suit.General Info wrote:Time/Date: 1:20 AM (Center Standard Time); 9/6/5023 (Center Reckoning)

It takes a little effort to find the device. Pertinax uses his psionic powers to detect any life signs around him, but the skeleton night crew generally keeps a large berth. But even then, Pert doesn't trust his instincts. There was the near encounter with one employee, but that was deftly defused. Complacency is what gets you killed. Be on your guard, the pyramid is dulling your psionic senses.
Upon finding the device, Pertinax looks at it with indifference. This does not look like anything special. He gives out a quiet snort, and then leans forward to inspect it. It looks like what they are looking for. Your employer could have hired a group of common thieves for half the price.

Pertinax lifts his head and glares at Az. Does he mean to imply that the auto-man is stronger than a tarlok? That you cannot carry a small piece of machinery? Without even waiting for Glitch, Pertinax grabs the bottle compensator. His loksuit creaks as his armored hands squirm to find a good grip.
"If we are careful," Pertinax hisses, "then we will not need get caught from behind" The quieter the dreadmaster's voice gets, the clearer it sounds*. He points at the compensator resting on his shoulder and says with a even more ginger (and thus more irritated tone), "I have the device. Glitch should take the rear since his radar provides us the best detection."

Glitch does not move towards the device and instead simply looks at Az Rael. Observation: This organic seems to believe he is in command here. Dolling out orders. Commanding the robot to do something. I should kill him where he stands and leave his body to be discovered. Glitch processes, the android none to keen on receiving orders from lesser beings. When Pertinax grabs the device, Glitch doesn't react to that either and instead draws his rifle. "Observation: A single well placed head shot would be enough. Perhaps I will assassinate him later in his sleep." Glitch considers.Az the Faux Leader wrote: "Glitch, grab the device."
Glitch looks between the two and only nods. Observation: At least one of them is attempting to be quiet even if they are still speaking more than is required. One of them makes suggestions, One of them makes commands. It seems this Az Rael needs a new lesson. Glitch's iris zeroes in on Az Rael from behind the opaque visor. (cont): If he continues this type of commanding, I will eliminate him. Organics are far too self important. Glitch considers, growing to detest how quickly Az Rael issues orders. Observation: He must not like following an intelligence greater than his. If he believes he can lead us out by his organic memory, then so be it. I will monitor the rear to avoid obstructions. Since Pertinax has the device, he should be in the center. If Az Rael fails, he will never take point again. Glitch decides internally. "I will take the rear. Do not fail." Glitch states to Az Rael. There is no hint of malice or irritation in his voice, it is a simple statement from the assassin intelligence.Quiet One wrote:"I have the device. "Yeah, yeah-." is all she can get out as the wind and snow pick up, drowning out sight and sound around her. 'Cold', 'wind', and 'snow' blinking in the corner of her helmet in blue in succession, telling her what she can see with her own eyes. I wouldn't've known if you haven't told me.
I'm not sure how long this spot will work. She telepathically gives Bryke, not seeing the current conditions improving anytime soon, a detriment to everyone to be sure.
Finding a new spot is probably idiotic even if I might have to.
What's where anyway? I can't see shit with this weather. She thinks to herself and not wanting to lose which way is forward for her at the moment considers how to find the pyramid again and figures she could at least find its , even if she gets more than just it in the attempt.
Who else would be bold or stupid enough to be out in this?

Glad to be in the middle. I won't be the first to contact any potential enemy. But I should be ready to fight whichever direction we are attacked from.

Not knowing actual sign language, but wanting to communicate his understanding to the rest of the squad, Yates decides to wing it. He gestures with hands, feet and other body language what he approximately intends to be, "I will be in the middle. I will be ready to fight enemy in front or back if they attack." But will fail miserably and will instead, according to actual sign language, communicates, "I have sandwich meat. Yums. Ants crawl, shaved head. Squat-lift, diarrhea."

Meanwhile outside, Even with Trorrie and Bryke being basically next to each other, they are all but invisible to each other in the white out storm of razor sharp ice. Trorrie notice that her relatively simple civilian model environmental suit is showing signs of damage, as the blinking red damage indicator shows all parts of the armor are a bit damaged.
The crew inside the Pyramid finally make their way back to the weather airlock, and out into the horrible weather. It manages to foul up all manner of sensors, and visual systems, reducing one’s vision to approximately two to three feet. It takes the Rogues the better part of thirty minutes to make for the relative safety of the Mag-Lev Platform, which protects the group a little from the flying razor sharp ice crystals. It’s about this time that Bryke and Trorrie also arrive. The group stays out of sight for the next while until the mag-lev basically appears out of nowhere, stopping at the station. The Rogues hurry aboard the nearly empty train, and find an out of the way spot to stash the stolen ship part.
A few more hours pass, as the train makes its way around it’s route, before depositing the Rogues back in D’nar’s Rest. A short trip later puts the Rogues safely back onboard the ship.
What are your Intentions?
With the magnetic bottle compensator in hand the Rogues make their way back to the entrance. As the group slowly makes their way across the large structure, Pertinax knocks over a trash receptacle in his attempt to be stealthy. Thankfully the group is able to make for an alternative route to avoid the curious humanoid who comes to investigate.General Info wrote:Time/Date: 5:10 AM (Center Standard Time); 9/6/5023 (Center Reckoning)

Damn it. This'll take forever to get the frostbite out of and patch. Trorrie gripes to herself as the damage indicator starts flashing to her. She decides moving isn't much an option at the moment and just puts it to the back of her thoughts.
Navigating to the Mag-Lev platform in the storm when the time comes to leave she proceeds to not be slow to get to her destination. Fuck the cold. Fuck this wind- and more goes through her head the whole way there. On the train, the Draconid sits in a huff and looks over her weather suit as much as can be without removing it. After getting an idea of the damage her suit was on about, she sits with her arms crossed in a huff.
Aboard the ship, Trorrie sits with and begins what maintenance she can on the severe weather suit, annoyed with the inconvenience.

The exit out of the pyramid is uneventful, give or take a knocked over trash can. Do you think you could be any louder? You have been on suicide missions where you were more cautious than this. When did you become so sloppy? But rather than cursing aloud, Pertinax swallows the bile in his mouth and braces himself for the bitter cold. The biting wind is not as harsh as his inner-monologue, and he tires of both after waiting for the mag-rail to arrive.
The warmth of the train does little cheer up the tarlok. He is twice the size of the average human laborer, and in his loksuit, he more than fills out more than two seats on the train. Good, then your 'teammates' cannot sit next two you. Nonetheless, the Rogues do sit close enough that Pertinax feels crowded.
If there are no cameras, Pertinax discretely puts the compensator in the partial seat between himself and Bryke. While Bryke is analyzing it, Pertinax glances around the empty train car. You can never be too paranoid.
"You have a dimensional pocket, correct?" he asks Bryke. "Our device would be safer there than in plain sight.

It's not a bad suggestion, but Pertinax doesn't want to hold up the compensator in plain site on public transit. First he scans the cart for any security cameras. If he sees any and does not believe he can pass of the device in an inconspicuous way, he will say in a low growl, "Wait until we get to the ship."

When the tarlok coughs, Glitch looks to him. "Do all organics struggle articulating themselves?" Glitch asks rhetorically. "If you need to pilot to feel useful, I will not stop you and will be ready to adjust should your organic mind falter." Glitch will add, and will move to the co-pilot's seat and allow Pertinax to have the pilot's seat. Observation: Organics need to be loud and involved to feel useful; they are incapable of watching someone else do a job they have deemed to be theirs. If it were not so detrimental, it would almost be amusing behavior. Glitch observes. Uncomfortably for Pertinax, Glitch's faceless visor remains trained on the tarlok for a long while.Testy Organic wrote:"Ahem," Pertinax coughs. "You are in my seat."

"Oh goodness darling," Yates remarks upon stumbling across Trorrie in the confines of the ship already en route back to Phase World. And without any real authority to make such decisions. Also completely oblivious to how his words also apply to himself, he makes the loud and bold declaration, "Perhaps you find yourself feeling more important today? You have popped your heist-cherry! Trorrie and Yates make their way to the crew spaces, Trorrie making it to the lounge, and Yates to his room. Yates begins the tedious and delicate task of grooming away helmet feathers, While Trorrie tries to do some work on her partially shredded environmental suit.
In the Cargo bay, Bryke mentally melds with the Modified Magnetic Bottle Compensator, getting a full schematic of the device. To the Promethean the device seems pretty generic, and while Bryke knows everything about the device, He’s not actually sure what makes it special. All in all it’s free of tracking devices, mechanical or magical. Bryke then begins the slow task of copying the mental schematics into his HPC.
Once the ship is free of the local exosphere, the Phase Transciever is hit and the ship blinks from the Gorse Lendim System and ejects from one of the twenty-four jump gates circling Phase World. The menial task of getting permissions and telemetry to land takes maybe ten minutes tops, leaving the Rogue sitting on one of the many landing pads mounted to its dome shaped roof.
Meanwhile in an unassuming office on level two, located in a back corner of Spacetown, sits two individuals. One is a pale blue skinned humanoid with dark black hair and almost glowing red eyes, while the other is a Cephalopod wearing a unique assortment of clothes.
”So have you finished whatever task you’re teacher thrust upon you? Asks Holt, who is leaning back in his chair with a glass of amber colored liquor in his hand.
What are your Intentions?
On the ship a flurry of activity begins to unfold. In the cockpit, Glitch and Pertinax bicker over who’s going to drive, while Glitch radios the tower for permission to leave. ”Recieved Rogue, you have clearance to take off at your leisure, keep to the following lane on route out. Safe Travels. Over” With permission had, the ship receives a bit of telemetry data, guiding them out of the atmosphere and the local exosphere.General Info wrote:Time/Date: 5:40 AM (Center Standard Time); 9/6/5023 (Center Reckoning)

Mission Notes
Other Notes:

"All things age. All things die. In the end, our sun burns out. Our universe grows cold and perishes. But the Dark Dimension, it’s the place beyond time."

Upon their arrival to the landing pad, Glitch turns to Pertinax in the cockpit. "Efficient piloting. You have improved." Glitch says in a sort of back-handed compliment from some of the earlier botched attempts the organics have made while piloting before. "We should conclude our current business quickly; I have other errands to run on Phase World while we are here afterwards. I will inform the others to be ready." Glitch states to Pertinax but doesn't clarify as the automaton stands up and leaves the cockpit.
Glitch will traverse relatively quietly through the Rogue to let everyone know they have returned to Phase World and landed in his own uncouth way. To Yates, who may be still in his room, the intelligence simply stands in the doorway for several moments without saying a word, simply staring in an unsettling way. To Trorrie, in the lounge, Glitch stands in one of the entryways and observes the draconoid as it attempts to repair its armor. To Bryke in the cargo bay, Glitch stands off to the side and observes the promethean as it transcribes notes. To the loner assassin, Az Rael, Glitch stands and watches him brood for a moment.
To all of them, the automaton utters only one sentence before moving on to the next. "We have landed in Phase World, be ready to meet our contact." Could this have been done with an intercom, possibly. But they aren't in a rush, nor on a military ship and the automaton instead wanted to observe his companions in their environments. When the time has come, Glitch will go with the group to go see Holt and hand over the device and receive payment.

What happens when a being designed to follow orders and programmed to kill eliminates those they served? Who is giving them the orders now? Scariest version; they are.
