Alter Facial Features & Physical Stature
The character has the ability to alter his facial features, body shape/stature and size.
1 . Alter Facial Features:
Range: Self
Duration: Indefinite - as long as the character desires.
Restriction : Two times daily per level of experience. The character can alter his face in any and every way. Facial features such as the nose, ears, mouth/lips, jaw, cheeks, eyebrows, forehead, and hairline can be aged or altered with a thought. Note that this power enables the character to grow facial hair, grow or reduce hair length , lighten or darken hair color by 50%, cause the hair to drop out, becoming bald (can grow it back in minutes) and change the color and shape of the eyes. The character simply makes a mental picture and within one melee round ( 15 seconds) the face is altered to fit that picture. To copy somebody else's features exactly, the copier must have several detailed photographs (video tape is much better) of the subject's face, hands, body and other features and elements to be imitated. Best is to have the person himself available to Study.
2. Alter Physical Stature/Shape & Size:
Range: Self
Duration : Indefinite - as long as the character desires.
Restriction: Two times daily per level of experience and the height can only be increased or decreased by one foot (0.3 m).
The character can alter the appearance of height, age, physical dimensions and characteristics of his body (slouch, slumped shoulders, barrel-chested, muscular, scrawny, old, young, etc.) to look like a completely different person. Note that the key word here is "appearance." No matter what the impersonator looks like, his physical and mental attributes do NOT change, only his physical "appearance." Imitating a specific individual right down to distinguishing birthmarks, scars, moles, tattoos, etc., are all possible, provided that information (and visual reference) is available.
3. Photographic Picture Memory: 69%
Range: Self
Duration: Indefinite - as long as the character desires.
Restriction : Base skill for completely accurate recollection : 40% +5% per level of experience.
The individual has a remarkable photographic memory when it comes to remembering faces and features about people (has an ordinary memory when it comes to remembering factual data, events, names, numbers, etc.). Thus, an identity used in the past can be recalled and used again at any time. This gives the character a vast mental file that he can draw on in a moment's notice.
4. Alter Voice: 74%/104%
Range: Self
Duration: Indefinite - as long as the character desires.
Restriction : Four times daily per level of experience. Base skill for completely accurate recollection and imitation of a specific person's voice and dialect: 40% +5% per level of experience.
Simply altering one's voice is easy, 90% proficiency. This is the ability to alter one's voice and speech patterns to resemble/imitate another person . Vocal ranges within the same gender are the easiest, but -25% for the opposite gender and/or extreme vocal ranges. To imitate a specific voice the imitator must hear the person speak for several minutes or more; a good quality recording will do the trick.
Note: The imitator must know foreign languages in order to speak them. In other words, if the character wishes to copy a German national who only speaks the German language, he too must speak the language.
5. Alter Finger and Hand Prints: 69%
Range: Self
Duration : Indefinite - as long as the character desires.
Restriction: Two times daily per level of experience. Base skill for accurately copying somebody else's fingerprints: 35% +5% per level of experience.
The character can change his finger and palm/hand prints (feet too) with a thought. To copy another person's prints he must study the person's fingers and hands or view detailed photos or copies of fingerprints (the latter two have a penalty of - 10%).
6. Impersonation 84%
Add 1d6 to Mental Affinity attribute.
Impersonation: 70% plus 5% per level of experience.
Includes copying inflections and nuances in the person's voice, movement and mannerisms, not just physical appearance.
Limitations of Note:
Size can be increased or decreased by a maximum of one foot.
There are no restrictions against altering skin color and the appearance of secondary sexual traits; biological sex can not be changed.
Distinct body features such as birthmarks, moles, scars, tattoos, or fingerprints cannot be reproduced unless seen by the character firsthand or by way of detailed photographs or film.

Re: Lynch (Human Super-Spy) (Spooks) (Background)

Post by Lynch »

The manipulation. It's so enjoyable. I don't think I'll ever be able to live without it. I'm not even mad that I don't remember where I came from. It really doesn't matter any more. Why would I go back to being who I was before my transformation? This is much better. I can be anyone...anything I want to be. Mercenary...boring! Doctor...Exciting. Mechanic...Fun. Spy...The best. who will I be today? The possibilities are endless. Lets see what the day brings.
Who am I going to be today? Lynch sitting on a couch of a hotel in Chi-Town ran his hands through his hair. He looked at the identities laid out in front of him. NG seems to be worried about some upstart tech company trying to get out of the Chi-Town Burbs. Not sure what all the fuss is about, but hey they are paying well…I guess I should go as the IT guy. Need to get the programs into the system and leave a few bugs in the right areas. Shouldn’t be too hard. Lynch took a moment his skin, face and hight all shifted to match the ID card of Talbit. Lynch’s posture changed. His shoulders were no longer back. Even though he was three inches taller then he had been a moment ago he seems somehow smaller. ”I gu.ues I..I should getttt going..” Talbot left the hotel and took a bus to the start up. Talbot looked around nervously as he walked towards the doors. ”I…I..Hope they en..enjoy the preeessentation.”
Talbit was greeted by a warm receptionist. ”Hello. Welcome to Cricket Technology. How can I help you today?”
Talbit shrunk even more, ”He..Hello. I..I’mm Here ffformm IT S..S..Soulluutions. The woman smiled at Talbit as she could see he was nervous.
”This is your first time at our location? It’s ok. You have nothing to be nervous about. Our owner Mr. Mason prides himself on being inclusive with all people. Talbit smiled weakly and nodded as he did not correct or interrupt the woman.
”Right. Can I get your name so I can log you into our system?”
The Woman clacked a few keys on her computer before looking back up, ”Thank you mister Strickland. Please place your finger on this pad to register your prints. This will allow you access to the server area. Talbit nodded but did not reply. The woman waved over one of the security guards to escort Talbit to the server rooms. The guard was blissfully quite as he showed Talbit to the server room.

Once there the guard left, figuring Talbit could find his own way out once he was done. Talbit set to work optimizing the servers to handle increased load from a new satellite station the company was standing up. As he worked he quietly replaced one of the primary network cable adapters. While it looked identical to the one that had been there it functioned slightly differently. It contained a small set of circuits that could read all inbound and outbound packets. When packets with specific header information were identified, it would hold them, copy them and then let the packets continue, then the copy would have it’s header information changed to the NG Information Techs, per the contract Lynch was under. After a few hours of work, the Cricket servers were running much more efficiently. As Talbit made his way to the exit, he quietly set two small mass storage devices on two different desks. These appeared to be empty, but once plugged in they would activate a program to find specific files and send them out using the spiked network line Talbit had just installed.
”Thank you! Have a great day!” The woman, polite as ever, waved Talbit through the door. Talbit waved back and disappeared.
Six months later, the company went under, unable to compete with NG and all its assets were sold off for pennies, with no one the wiser to Talbit’s actions.
Escanaba (Mercbay) was an interesting place. Pedro worked in a NG Dealership as a mechanic and general maintenance person. NG was concerned about potential fraud coming from the dealership. Pedro did his day to day job alongside a man named Lahz. Perdo marveled at Lahz’s abilities to get even the most stubborn equipment to work. Pedro was friendly with Lahz, inviting him and his wife over for dinner a few times. Pedro showed them pictures of his granddaughter back in Chi-Town. Pedro always talked about the need to send money to make sure she got an education so she could make her own way in the world. When Lahz informed him he was going to be departing Escanaba, Pedro demanded to help them pack. Pedro gifted them a small painting as a going away present. Pedro wished them well and was actually sad to see them go. Espero poder volver a verlos.
I hope I can see them again.
Pedro got back to work. Over the next year it came to light that the owner of the dealership had been embezzling millions of credits through false repairs and kickbacks from distributors. Pedro quit soon thereafter and faded from most people’s memory.
Mr. Chen/Carol
Independant deals were always risky. Mr. Chen sat dignified across the table from a brute of a man.
”I don’t think you know what we want! I need all the information on the HellDrivers.” Anger clear in his voice, yet Mr. Chen was unfazed.
”Díquè. Wǒ lǐjiě nǐ de kùnjìng. Bàituō, méiyǒu lǐyóu tígāo nǐ de shēngyīn. Nín yǐjīng tīng shuōguò wǒ de gùzhǔ de tiáokuǎn yǐjí zhèngquè wánchéng gōngzuò suǒ xū de shíjiān. Rúguǒ nín duì shíjiān biǎo huò fāngfǎ yǒu yíwèn, nàme nín yīnggāi xúnzhǎo lìng yīgè lái shōují nín de zīxùn.
Indeed. I understand your predicament. Please, there is no reason to raise your voice. You have heard my employers terms and the length of time required to get the job done correctly. If you have an issue with the timeline or methods, then you should find another to gather your information.
The man turned several shades of red before huffing, ”Fine! Do it your way! But I better have everything I asked for.”
”Nín jiāng yǒngyǒu wǒmen shāngdìng de yīqiè. Qǐng quèbǎo nín jì zhù xiéyì tiáokuǎn”
You will have everything we agreed upon. Please ensure you remember the terms of the agreement.
”I haven’t forgotten!” Mr. Chen gracefully stood and departed the dive bar. He stood outside for a moment taking in the street. The smells and sounds of a street market greeted him. As he moved down the street he heard the bar doors open. Mr. Chen spotted two of the muscle in a buildings reflection as they began to follow Mr. Chen. Tāmen tài míngxiǎnle. Wǒ cāi tāmen bìng bù zhēnzhèng xiǎng yào zhèxiē zīxùn. Tāmen zhǐshì wéifǎnle yuēdìng.
They are too obvious. I guess they do not really want the information. They just violated the agreement.
Mr. Chen turned down a side ally that connected his street to the street market down the block. Mr. Chen quickly stripped his clothes into his briefcase and pulled out a set of woman clothes as he took on the form of a middle aged lady. Carol entered the street market and moved to a nearby booth selling flowers. ”Oh my, these are just so precious!”
”I know I can only get them in bloom during this time of the year. Last year the weather didn't cooperate and I lost my whole garden.”
Carol was talking with the lady as the men emerged into the market searching for Mr. Chen. Carol looked over, ”Oh Look at these strapping young men. Oh if only I were a few decades younger.” Carol grabbed two of the flowers, and moved to the men, ”Here. For you. Hopefully it attracts the ladies for you.” Carol gave them a wink. They looked very confused at the woman.
”Have you seen a small asian man come through here?” Carol looked back at the flower girl and they both shrugged, ”No. We haven’t. Are you boys in some sort of trouble?”
”Nothing you need to be concerned with Ma’am.” Carol smiled at them as they took off into the crowd. Carol paid for the flowers and spent the rest of the day experiencing all the street market had to offer.
