Whispers of Humanity

Post by Hannibal »

The rumor mill among survivors is strong. Whispers of civilization trying to regain footholds after the collapse are shared when groups of travelers meet. This thread will account for possible settlements and stories the group has come across during their travels.

Rabun County

There has been rumors there is a settlement in Rabun County, GA. People says it is somewhere near Tiger or Clayton. No one has met anyone who has actually been there. Most of the news has come from people who are either heading that way themselves or met someone heading that way.

Pine Island, FL

Lots of rumors about a paradise that has been rid of the dead. A place where people live a relaxing tropical life almost reminiscent of the times before the fall. People talk about an island that has only one way in and out other than water access. They speak about trade market on the island and just off the island.

Jacksonville, FL

Jacksonville is said to be thriving as an intermediary stop for trade up and down the southern east coast. People frequently talk about passing through and how the city didn't see much of the loss from the fall as other cities did. They say downtown was never the bustling city it could have been and that may have helped it clean up easier.
